The victim of the road traffic accident involving former Mazhilis deputy Bakytzhan Bazarbek — Nurzhigit Koshanov — continues his recovery in Taraz. Bazarbek published a photograph of the man together with doctors and reported that he faces rehabilitation ahead due to a broken leg.

Doctor of Veterinary Sciences Gaisa Absatirov commented on Facebook on the cattle deaths in Atyrau Region. He noted that a diagnosis has not yet been established, but livestock are already undergoing preventive vaccination, and suggested naming unidentified diseases after the geography of the outbreak — for example, "Kenzek disease" or even "Tashimova disease".

The Ministry of Culture and Information (MCI) of the Republic of Kazakhstan has responded to the request from the Bureau of Journalistic Investigations (BJI) regarding its assessment of Astana airport's refusal to comment on the circumstances of its own financial reporting. The ministry indicated that the law does not require media outlets to confirm the credentials of the editor-in-chief with each request, and it has sent a recommendatory letter to the airport urging compliance with legislation.

Farmers in Atyrau are losing livestock due to an unidentified disease

In the village of Kenuzek, Atyrau Region, cattle have been dying since the end of August 2026. Tests have not revealed any signs of disease, and specialists from Astana will be brought in to investigate. A similar livestock die-off was recorded in the village last year, also without a diagnosis.
