In Baiganin District of the Aktobe Region, a local-scale natural emergency situation has been declared following strong gusty winds. In the district centre, a metal communications tower collapsed onto the roof of a detached single-storey shop, injuring three people.

Companies have been fined over 1.5 million tenge for illegal sand extraction and unauthorised blocking of the river channel. A comprehensive assessment of the impact on the hydrology of the Ilek is not provided for by the department.
