The Inter-District Civil Court of the City of Astana, in the person of Judge Doszhan Dzhumayev, has partially upheld the claim of Bauyrzhan Kalibayev, Director of the A.I. Barayev Research and Production Centre for Grain Farming, against Kirill Pavlov, founder of the FBPC, and Gulnar Kabdina, Chief Accountant of the Centre. We are examining what this decision rests on, since the questions it raises have turned out to be no fewer than those raised by the expert examination on which it is based.

The State Revenue Committee (SRC) did not provide the FBRK with information on the customs clearance of six foreign tractor units, for which more than KZT 20.5 million in recycling fees was recovered from the company. The Ministry of Transport, in turn, stated that verifying information on the registration of different vehicles with identical VIN codes is not within its competence.

For two months now, the FBK editorial team has been analysing the financial statements of Kazakhstan's largest airports. We started with Astana airport, and we are concluding the series with it as well. At the time, we did not yet suspect that it would be the capital's airport that would prove the most difficult interviewee, and that its 2025 statements would become the best illustration of the main conclusion of the entire series: the bottom-line figure in a report sometimes says more about the accounting than about the business itself.

Parents of schoolchildren in Astana who complained about vaccination consent forms have been issued a new version of the document. The name of the vaccine is now printed in full in both the consent and the refusal, and questions about signs of autism and pregnancy have been removed from the questionnaire. At the same time, the questionnaire about the child's health has again been sent home to be filled in, although according to the rules this is done by a medical worker in a private conversation.

JSC "Ust-Kamenogorsk Airport" increased revenue from KZT 1.3 billion in 2023 to KZT 3.2 billion in 2025 and posted a net profit of KZT 208.6 million after losses in 2023 and 2024. Auditors for 2024 and 2025 expressed a qualified opinion due to the lack of observation of the inventory count. And in the reporting itself, the FBRK found discrepancies between data from different years and forms.
