21 October a teenager Nurislambeck died on the central square of Kyzylorda. According to relatives, he received a fatal wound during a conflict with an acquaintance. The police opened two criminal cases.
HOW THE CONFLICT HAPPENED
As reported by the HALYQSTAN Telegram channel, information is circulating on social media and in the media that the cause of the quarrel could have been 1,000 tenge. It is also claimed that the teenager was struck in the chest with a screwdriver.
The sister of the deceased said that the suspect is 13 years old. At the same time, she does not rule out that other people could have been involved in what happened.
WHAT THE POLICE REPORTED
The Police Department of the Kyzylorda Region (PD) told HALYQSTAN about the opening of a criminal case on the fact of intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death by negligence.
The minor suspect was placed in the regional Centre for the Adaptation of Minors.
The police neither confirmed nor denied the information about the conflict over 1,000 tenge and the use of a screwdriver.
"The circumstances of what happened will be established during the investigation. The investigation continues," the PD reported.
WHY A SECOND CASE WAS OPENED
The police also registered a separate criminal case on the fact of failure to fulfil duties regarding the upbringing of a minor.
The statement does not specify exactly who is being checked as part of the second case.
Both investigations are under the special supervision of the leadership of the police department.
Earlier we reported that on 8 October another deadly attack occurred near one of the cafés in Kyzylorda. According to preliminary data, several young men inflicted knife wounds on a young man, from which he later died in hospital. The police detained three suspects and placed them in a temporary detention centre. The investigation is also checking the possible involvement of other persons in what happened.
