The Veterinary Administration of Akmola Region has confirmed that a plot of land earmarked for residential development in the town of Kosshy falls within the sanitary protection zone of a 1986 anthrax burial site. The standard for facilities of this hazard class is 1,000 metres. The burial site itself is located 25 metres from the river and residential buildings, next to the "Chistye Prudy" recreation area.

Another concerned the disposal of property at the construction site worth about 5.4 million tenge. Ismailova was found guilty and sentenced to seven years' imprisonment with a one-year deferral of execution. On 11 August 2026, the appeal left the sentence unchanged, and it entered into legal force.
