The suspect in the case of creating and leading a structural unit of the financial pyramid "World Business Consulting" has been extradited to Kazakhstan from Georgia. The criminal case has been sent to court, and the suspect's land plot has been seized.

The Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan stated that the decision of the Kazakhstani court regarding the recovery of an environmental fine from the North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) is subject to voluntary compliance until 20 July 2026. The department also reported that the interim protective measure of the UNCITRAL commercial arbitration does not have automatic legal force within the country's territory.

Companies that have been associated with the family of Kazakhstan’s first President, Nursultan Nazarbayev, at various times owe more than 30 billion tenge in customs payments and related charges. They feature in a list of the largest debtors published by the State Revenue Committee (SRC), which as of 1 July 2026 includes nearly 1,500 legal entities with a total debt of around 114 billion tenge.

On 1 July, the Head of State signed the Law on Amnesty, timed to coincide with the adoption of the new Constitution. For the first time in the history of independent Kazakhstan, an administrative amnesty was carried out, affecting around 590,000 people.

Two elderly people were injured after a pyrotechnic device was set off in a branch of Halyk Bank in Pavlodar. According to the police, the pensioners followed the instructions of telephone scammers, who persuaded them to ignite a firecracker placed inside a cake.

The UK Crown Prosecution Service has frozen an elite mansion in the Highgate area of London, valued at $32.7 million. The property belongs to Yu Cong, a Chinese-born individual with Cambodian citizenship. The restrictive measures have been imposed due to suspicion that the property was purchased with funds of illegal origin. However, no criminal charges have been brought against the owner in the United Kingdom.

In the Baikonyr district of Astana, there was an explosion of a gas-air mixture in a tandoori samsa preparation room located on the market grounds. Four people were injured in the incident, including one child, with no fatalities.

In the Turkestan region, several illegal schemes related to tobacco smuggling, extortion of funds, and illicit capital outflows have been shut down. Pre-trial investigations have been launched into specific episodes, and the total volume of identified illicit fund outflows reached approximately 200 billion tenge.
