In the Karaganda region, practical implementation has begun on the 'Northern Katpar' project, linked to investments from the sons of US President Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. Together with the 'Verkhneye Kairakty' deposit, the project, according to current estimates, could produce around 12,000 tonnes of tungsten products per year — approximately 15% of the current global mining volume.

The volume of production in Kazakhstan’s manufacturing industry over the first seven months of 2026 reached 18.8 trillion tenge, an increase of 9%. The sector’s share of total industrial output stood at 46.7%, exceeding that of the mining industry, which was 45.8%.
