Police in Pavlodar have detained a security guard from an enterprise suspected of stealing around 25 million tenge. During a search, police officers found 24 million tenge.
HOW THE SUSPECT WAS FOUND
According to Polisia.kz, a report was received by police regarding the theft of funds from one of the city's limited liability partnerships (LLP).
Following operational and investigative measures, police officers identified the suspect. He turned out to be the enterprise's security guard.
WHERE THE MONEY WAS FOUND
During a search of a garden plot in one of the horticultural associations, police found 24 million tenge. According to police, the money was hidden in a saucepan under an apple tree.
The seized funds were attached to the criminal case file as material evidence.
WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT THE INVESTIGATION
As reported by the head of the Pavlodar city police department, Balgabai Kaparov, the suspect was detained and placed in a temporary detention centre (TDC).
The investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement agencies are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
