Former President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and his eldest son Sedrak Kocharyan have been detained as part of a criminal investigation into alleged corruption offences. Searches were also carried out at the home of the ex-president's other son, MP Levon Kocharyan.

The oil refinery (ORP) of JSC "Kondensat" in the West Kazakhstan Region (WKR) has agreed to process Russian oil. Up to 30% of the petrol and diesel fuel produced will remain in Kazakhstan, with the remainder being sent to Russia.
