Two citizens of Afghanistan have died as a result of an armed clash on the Tajik-Afghan border. The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Tajikistan reported that the men crossed the border illegally and, according to the agency, were involved in drug smuggling.

An oil and gas enterprise in Mangistau is being inspected after violations were identified.

The teenager's family disagrees with the decision and demands that the investigation be resumed. The boy died on 26 May after sustaining severe injuries during the game.

The same strain has been detected in China near the Kazakh border. Meanwhile, thousands of sick saiga antelopes in the West Kazakhstan region are coming into contact with livestock, potentially carrying the virus.
