The specialised inter-district criminal court of the Atyrau region found Sultan Sarsemaliyev guilty in the case of the murder of a family of four and sentenced him to life imprisonment. The court also ordered the convicted man to pay the injured party 40 million tenge in compensation for moral harm.

The number of individual entrepreneurs (IEs) in Kazakhstan has fallen by 260,000 units. This was reported by Vice-Minister of National Economy Yerlan Sagnayev following a government meeting.
