The Senate of Kazakhstan has returned the bill on stray animals to the Mazhilis for revision. At the same time, the provision on the euthanasia of stray animals remains in the document — the changes relate to the procedure for its application. The court found citizen M. guilty of fraud on an especially large scale in the case of the illegal sale of a foreign investor's share. The injured party was recognised as Swiss investor Cornelia Luc Jarczyk; her claim for 3.5 billion tenge was satisfied in full.

The Senate has returned the bill on regulating the number of stray animals to the Mazhilis for revision. The document provides for the transfer of powers to maslikhats to determine the procedure and timing for catching and euthanising animals, instead of a single nationwide standard.

In Kazakhstan, the possibility of an administrative and criminal amnesty is being considered, which could affect around 17,000 people. The relevant draft laws are currently in development.

At a dairy plant in the village of Zhibek Zholy, Arshaly district, Akmola region, there was a pop of a gas-air mixture, as a result of which two employees of the enterprise were injured. The men sustained serious burns and were hospitalised.
