In 2025, the state annuity company (SAC) paid out over 2.7 billion tenge in insurance compensation to more than 257,000 citizens of Kazakhstan. The majority of these payments were for compulsory accident insurance for workers. The volume of collected insurance premiums reached 4.3 billion tenge.

The court found 21 people guilty, including former employees of special service centres and the administrative police of the Almaty and Zhetysu regions, in a case concerning the illegal registration of lorries. Between 2020 and 2023, more than 1,300 vehicles were processed using forged documents, resulting in damage to the state amounting to 9.3 billion tenge.

In Astana, an investigation into bloggers Yerbolat Zhanabylov and Elmira Tolegenova has been concluded. According to the AFM, under the guise of selling online courses, they organised an unlicensed lottery. The main interest of buyers was not in the training, but in participating in draws for valuable prizes.

In the Ulytau region, a court has passed a sentence in a case involving the illegal extraction of manganese ore without a licence or subsoil use contract. The damage to the state exceeded 4.8 billion tenge. The convicted individual has been sentenced to imprisonment and the confiscation of property.

In Kazakhstan, a Ministry of Finance order is being prepared to write off penalties and fines on tax arrears for micro and small businesses. The measure applies on condition that the principal debt is repaid between 1 January and 31 March of the current year, and will be implemented automatically by the tax authorities. Explanations regarding the document were given live on the state revenue committee’s broadcast.
