An inspection of Astana's ambulance service revealed 61 cases of patients dying before paramedics arrived

The Audit Commission of Astana identified 5,261 cases of repeat ambulance calls following examinations of patients by polyclinic doctors. In 61 cases, patients died before the medics arrived. The review covered the period from 2023 to March 2026 and revealed problems with determining the urgency of calls.

Billions allocated for promoting tourism in Almaty were distributed through a subordinate bureau

The Almaty Tourism Department concluded three contracts with its subordinate Almaty Tourism Bureau LLP for a total of about 2.7 billion tenge. Of these, 895 million tenge was allocated for the maintenance of the bureau itself. The difference between the allocated sums and the contractors' procurements amounted to 254 million tenge.
