The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has put three Russian citizens on the wanted list — Semyon Uralov, Ivan Knyazev and Alexei Chadayev. They have been named as defendants in a criminal case concerning public calls for terrorism, calls against the state and incitement of national hatred and enmity.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported a technical failure in the "ERAP" information system of the Prosecutor General's Office, due to which some fines for average speed violations were mistakenly issued as exceeding the instantaneous speed. The department stated that such orders have already been identified and will be cancelled automatically.

A house in Shymkent linked to the former owner of the Shymkent Brewery, Tokhtar Tuleshov, has been put up for auction with a starting price of 240.2 million tenge. The bidding is scheduled for 27 August 2026.

In the Merke district of Zhambyl region, a 19-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan, Madina Rashidkyzy, has died. The police have launched a pre-trial investigation into the fact of driving to suicide. The deceased leaves behind an eight-month-old child.

5-year-old Nurasyl received an electric shock and burns at a playground in the courtyard of house No. 11 on A105 Street in Astana. The child was hospitalised following the incident.

Former Majilis deputy Bakytzhan Bazarbek has publicly commented for the first time on the high-profile road traffic accident in Zhambyl Region, after which a 36-year-old man ended up in intensive care. Bazarbek said that the investigation is ongoing, and that he and his wife have signed a non-disclosure agreement regarding the pre-trial investigation.

In the Almaty Region, drivers have complained about the large number of fines issued after the automatic recording of traffic violations. One motorist reported receiving 14 fines in a single day, while another received four notices in a week totalling around 50,000 tenge.

Steppe fires have been recorded in the Shet, Aktogai, Bukhar-Zhyrau and Karkaraly districts of the Karaganda region. In the Karkaraly district, two people have suffered burns and are in hospital. No threat has been identified to the settlements near the village of Zhanatogan.

The military court of the Aktobe garrison sentenced a former senior operational officer of the border service of the National Security Committee (BS NSC) for Mangistau Region to 6 years' imprisonment for receiving housing payments after registering a marriage with the mother of four children. The court also ordered the recovery of 43 million tenge in damages from him.

The president of World Boxing, Kazakh boxer and head of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin has been added to the database of the Ukrainian website Myrotvorets. The reason was World Boxing's decision to lift restrictions on Russian athletes.
