JSC "NC "KazAvtoZhol" has warned contractors, subcontractors and potential suppliers about cases where third parties offer, for a monetary reward, assistance in securing road projects and volumes of work. The company urged business representatives not to hand over money and to verify such offers through official sources.
WHAT THE COMPANY REPORTED
According to JSC "NC "KazAvtoZhol", the company has been receiving information about individuals who pose as employees or people connected with its activities, as well as representatives of consulting and other organisations. They claim to have supposed connections with management and the ability to influence decisions on the award of contractor and subcontractor volumes of work.
As noted in the statement, such individuals may arrange meetings with business representatives, including in the publicly accessible part of the building where the company's office is located. To appear convincing, they use information from open sources about ongoing projects and refer to supposed connections and arrangements with officials.
DO SUCH OFFERS HAVE ANY CONNECTION TO THE COMPANY
"KazAvtoZhol" states that such offers and promises have no connection to the company's activities. Procurement procedures, according to the statement, are carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the established procedure.
Information about tenders, participation conditions, application deadlines and procurement results is published on the official government procurement web portal. At the same time, general contractors engage subcontracting organisations independently in accordance with the legislation and the terms of concluded contracts.

The company reported that security services have already identified individual cases involving the possible unlawful use of the company's name and the misleading of business representatives.
Materials have been compiled on these facts and sent to law enforcement authorities for review and action in accordance with the procedure established by law.
