In Aktobe, the court found the former head of the city akimat’s administration, Nursultan Isembayuly, guilty of fraud and sentenced him to three years’ imprisonment. Following the verdict, he was taken into custody in the courtroom. The court also partially granted the civil claim and ordered additional payments.

Deputy Azat Peruashev commented on the criticism from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev regarding the use of the term "Shtrafstan". He stated that he regrets using this expression and believes that official language should be used in parliament.

Livestock farmers in the North Kazakhstan Region (NKR) have approached the regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs after JSC "SPK "Solтүstіk" demanded early repayment of soft loans totalling 13.8 million tenge. The grounds for this were the results of a state audit, which deemed the sale and slaughter of purchased livestock as a misuse of funds.
