Three passengers who had checked in online for a flight from Atyrau to Astana were not allowed into the security screening area with electronic boarding passes. They were later informed that they had been removed from the flight.

WHAT HAPPENED AT THE AIRPORT

According to the Telegram channel "Kozachkov offside", the incident occurred before a SCAT Airlines flight from Atyrau to Astana.

According to one of the passengers, three people had checked in online in advance, arrived at the airport before boarding began, had electronic boarding passes, and were travelling without baggage.

However, they were not allowed through to the security screening area. When the passengers approached the airline's check-in desk to find out why, there were no staff members there, according to them. Later, the passengers were told that they had been removed from the flight.

HOW THE SITUATION WAS EXPLAINED

In a conversation with the passengers, a man who introduced himself as a supervisor stated that check-in for the flight had closed 1 hour 40 minutes before departure, and that 10 minutes were allocated for passengers who had checked in online. According to him, they needed to have passed through 30 minutes before boarding.

The passenger responded that he had been unable to get through with an electronic boarding pass and asked for an explanation of where the requirement to approach the check-in desk again after online check-in was set out.

In the video recording, the airline representative also says that the electronic version of the boarding pass is used for access. At the same time, he did not provide the passengers with a written explanation of the reasons for denying them access, stating that such documents are not issued in written form.

CONTEXT

Earlier, passengers of FlyArystan Airlines reported conflict and dispute situations related to service. In particular, journalist Mikhail Kozachkov spoke about a passenger who, according to his information, was not allowed on a flight due to issues with hand luggage.

As reported, the man resolved the staff's concerns and combined his belongings into one piece of hand luggage, but by that time the gate had already closed. As a result, according to the journalist, the passenger had to travel from Almaty to Aktau via Astana.

Another case that Kozachkov described occurred during a flight from Shymkent to Almaty. According to him, a dispute arose between a passenger and a flight attendant during the mandatory briefing for a passenger seated in an emergency exit row. Later, the senior flight attendant became involved, after which the dispute came to an end.
