The Specialised Interdistrict Administrative Court of Almaty has ordered the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources to provide a copy of the report on the hydro-ecological and hydrogeological surveys of the Kokzhide sand massif. The ruling has not yet entered into legal force, and the ministry retains the right to appeal it.

Among the violations cited were the use of profanity, the display of indecent behaviour, dangerous pranks and insulting other people.

From 2 March 2026, akimats (local executive bodies) in all regions of Kazakhstan have been granted the authority to issue protocols for the contamination of public places. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison and ordered to reimburse the state 120 million tenge. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
