The alcohol industry of Kazakhstan represents a multi-billion sector of the economy with clearly defined leaders. According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics for 2022, the country sold 755.9 million litres of beer, 92.1 million litres of vodka and liqueur products, 48.9 million litres of wine, and 22.1 million litres of brandy. Meanwhile, the average annual alcohol consumption per resident aged over 15 stands at 6.38 litres.

The case concerning a potential leak of information from state bodies is plagued by procedural violations and redirection between agencies.

He reported that an action plan worth 10.5 billion tenge has been approved for the next three years.
