Tokayev has called for stricter measures following an act of vandalism in Mangystau

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated the need to strengthen efforts against acts of vandalism and boorish behaviour following an incident in the Ybykty Sai tract in the Mangystau region. The head of state instructed the relevant authorities to adopt strict legal measures.

The Almaty police have warned of the danger of graduates' "motorcades".

The Court of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) allowed the enforcement of nearly $1.4 billion from Gazprom in favour of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. The court recognised the arbitration award and issued permission for its enforcement in the territory of Kazakhstan.

The court of the West Kazakhstan Region ordered the individual entrepreneur to refund money to students of the online marketplace school.

The Department of Trade and Consumer Rights Protection for the West Kazakhstan Region filed a court claim on behalf of 21 consumers who had completed training at an online school for marketplace manager preparation. The court annulled 21 contracts and ordered two individual entrepreneurs to pay 490,000 tenge and 20,000 tenge in moral damages to each consumer. The ruling has not yet entered into legal force.

The CEO of the oil and gas company was unable to answer the questions of a Majilis deputy.

In the Majilis, deputy Zhanbyrshin criticised representatives of oil companies for purchasing goods from China instead of supporting Kazakhstani manufacturers. Liu Jincheng, CEO of Maten Petroleum JSC, reported six long-term contracts with domestic enterprises but could not name them specifically.

Expenditure on the referendum in Kazakhstan has been preliminarily estimated at 20.8 billion tenge.

The Central Referendum Commission has presented the parameters for preparing the vote on the draft of the new Constitution. Preliminary costs are estimated at 20.8 billion tenge. A total of 10,413 polling stations will open across the country, with 12,416,759 citizens included on the electoral rolls.
