At the Korday automobile checkpoint in the Zhambyl region, an attempt to import contaminated batches of plums and cherries from the Kyrgyz Republic was prevented. The dangerous produce was not allowed into the territory of Kazakhstan, and administrative measures were applied to the violators.

The Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that since the beginning of 2026, more than 2,000 officials have been brought to disciplinary responsibility on the recommendations of investigators, and over 500 others have been punished administratively for failing to take measures to eliminate the causes and conditions that facilitated the commission of crimes.

According to official data, around 30 million hectares of agricultural land are affected by erosion.
