Mazhilis deputies are preparing amendments to the Law "On Consumer Rights Protection", which will give legal force to correspondence between buyer and seller — including messages in messengers, advertising materials and video recordings.

Fines totalling 133 million tenge have been issued to illegal water users since the start of the year.

Basin water inspections have uncovered hundreds of cases of unauthorised and non-targeted water use this year. According to the committee for regulation, protection, and use of water resources, inspections were carried out across different regions of the country, and the volume of violations exceeded last year's figures.

Kazakhstan has received international permission to trade in saiga horns

At the CITES conference in Samarkand on 5 December, 111 countries voted to remove the zero export quota on saiga horn from the Kazakh population. This decision, which the authorities present as a triumph of conservation policy, in fact brings to a close a period marked by contradictions, secrecy, and unanswered questions.
