More than 20 service horses of the Border Service of the National Security Committee (KNB) have been sold at auction for a total of over 6.3 million tenge. The animals, which were used for patrolling hard-to-reach areas, have changed owners after completing their service.

On 31 March, three earthquakes were registered in Kazakhstan’s Zhetisu region. The strongest occurred at night near Zharkent with a magnitude of 4.4. The other two tremors were recorded during the day, with an intensity of 2 points. In the North Kazakhstan Region, a section of the road was washed out due to rising meltwater; the road was opened to allow water to pass through and restoration work has begun. A man drowned his wife over a business worth 125 million tenge in the Pavlodar region

A court in the Pavlodar region found a man guilty of murdering businesswoman Yelena Kuzmich, which was staged as a drowning accident.
