In the Beineu district of the Mangystau region, a court decision to dismiss a criminal case after the reconciliation of the parties has been overturned. The case concerning an attack on minors has been sent for a new hearing.
WHY THE CASE WAS REVIEWED
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, a local resident intentionally beat one minor and stabbed another several times. According to the case materials, the court had previously dismissed the criminal case due to the reconciliation of the parties.
However, current criminal legislation explicitly stipulates that individuals who have committed crimes against minors are not eligible for exemption from liability on such grounds.
Consequently, the prosecutor's office filed a protest, after which the court ruling was overturned on appeal.
CURRENT STATUS OF THE CASE
Following the overturning of the decision, the criminal case was sent for a new judicial hearing in the regional court.
Data on the current procedural status of the accused and any preventive measures are absent from the materials.
