Almaty journalist and creator of the YouTube project "Hyperborea" Vadim Boreyko received funding from foreign non-profit organisations over several years to produce media content, despite positioning himself as an independent author.

The Anti-Corruption Service of the National Security Committee has shut down a channel for the illegal import of goods across the state border of Kazakhstan. By court order, an official from the state revenue authorities of the West Kazakhstan Region and a resident of the capital have been detained. According to the investigation, the damage to the state amounted to 1.9 billion tenge.

The Economic Court of the Abai Region considered a claim by the State Municipal Enterprise "Semey Vodokanal" regarding access to engineering networks and the demolition of structures above the sewage collector.
