In the Zhambyl region, officers of the National Security Committee detained senior operative commissioner of the Baizak district police department, Major Zhasulan Yelubai. He is suspected of receiving 700 thousand tenge for promising to drop a criminal case concerning livestock theft.

The wife of Vyacheslav Kim, co-owner of the Kaspi group, Tatyana Kim, owns the Wishanger Manor estate in the English county of Surrey. It is reported that the property was purchased in 2021 for £20 million (13.7 billion tenge) and became the largest real estate transaction in the region at the time. Tatyana Kim also bought a coachman's house worth £1.6 million (over 1 billion tenge).
