In the Zhambyl Region, a case is being investigated regarding the alleged creation and management of a financial pyramid scheme, «ENVIDA AI». According to the investigation, the project attracted more than 370 investors from six regions of the country and Almaty.
WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT THE INVESTIGATION
The investigation is being conducted by the department of the Agency for Financial Monitoring (AFM) in the Zhambyl Region. The investigators believe that the project's organisers used the messenger WhatsApp to attract citizens.
The case file mentions groups named «Envidia ai daily passive income» and «Envidia ai super new project daily passive income». Through these, participants were promised a stable, high income.
The investigation claims that the project's marketing model was built on a multi-level system. According to the investigators, the main income was generated by attracting new investors.
HOW THE PROJECT POSITIONED ITSELF
According to information from the AFM, the project presented itself as an international ecosystem and claimed to invest in real assets.
More than 370 people were involved in the project. The geographical spread of participants includes the Aktobe Region, Atyrau Region, Kyzylorda Region, Pavlodar Region, Turkistan Region, as well as the city of Almaty.

HOW TO CHECK A COMPANY FOR SIGNS OF A FINANCIAL PYRAMID
The AFM reminded that the agency has launched a Telegram bot, «Baiqa, piramida!», which can be used to check a company for signs of a financial pyramid.
Citizens were also urged to be vigilant and not to invest funds in dubious financial organisations. In the event of encountering the activities of such projects, the AFM recommends contacting the Department of Economic Investigations at your place of residence.
