The prosecutor's office of the Akmola and Pavlodar regions has secured the return of land and property worth billions of tenge to the state. In the Akmola region, forest fund plots with a cadastral value of 2.2 billion tenge were returned to state ownership, and in the Pavlodar region — agricultural land and property with an estimated value of over 100 million tenge.
As reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Akmola region, an inspection revealed that a number of forest users in the Akkol district were not using state forest fund plots for their intended purpose — for health, recreational, tourism, and sports purposes.
As a result of the measures taken, 10 land plots of the state forest fund with a total cadastral value of 2.2 billion tenge were returned to the state. It was reported that these lands are planned to be offered to potential investors for organising tourism businesses in the future.
In the Pavlodar region, the prosecutor's office of the Aktogay district identified violations of land legislation requirements during an inspection of the legality and efficiency of the use of agricultural land.
Officials of the department established facts of prolonged non-use of agricultural land which had been leased by the «Zhanabet» peasant farm. The total area of the unused plots amounted to more than 200 hectares.
Following a submission from the district prosecutor's office, the Department for Land Resource Management filed a lawsuit with the specialised inter-district economic court of the Pavlodar region for the compulsory seizure of the unused land.
It was reported that the lease agreements were terminated, and the plots were returned to state ownership. By a resolution of the akimat, the land plots with an estimated value of over 100 million tenge were registered under the state.
