Прокуратура области Жетысу вернула государству 1000 гектаров земель

In the Zhetysu region, 1,000 hectares of unused agricultural land have been returned to state ownership. The value of the returned plots amounted to 25 million tenge.

WHAT THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE FOUND

According to the prosecutor's office of the Zhetysu region, violations were identified during an analysis conducted by the prosecutor's office of the Eskeldi district. The inspection revealed that the authorised bodies had not taken measures to reclaim the land plots after the lease periods had expired, and had also not addressed the issue of recovering mandatory payments.

The supervisory authority noted that, as a result, significant land resources were effectively withdrawn from economic circulation and were not used for their intended purpose.

WHAT MEASURES WERE TAKEN

To address the violations, the prosecutor's office issued acts of prosecutorial response. Following their review, plots with a total area of 1,000 hectares were returned to state ownership.

The prosecutor's office statement clarified that these were unused agricultural lands.

HOW THE LAND IS PLANNED TO BE USED

The returned land will be allocated for the region's needs. In particular, it is being considered to address the shortage of pastures for the local population.

The prosecutor's office reported that they are continuing the inventory of the land fund to ensure legality and the rational use of land resources.
