An assault on a minor girl is being investigated in Karaganda, which, according to her mother, occurred without any prior conflict and was filmed by the attackers. The victim is in hospital, and the family is demanding an objective investigation and access to the video footage.
WHEN AND WHERE THE ATTACK TOOK PLACE
According to the appeal from the victim's mother, the incident occurred on 16 February 2026 at around 18:00 in the 12th microdistrict of Karaganda.
She claims that her underage daughter was beaten by a group of teenagers. According to the woman, the attack happened without any conflict or provocation and was deliberate in nature.
Furthermore, according to her information, the incident was filmed on video by the participants themselves. The family, according to the mother, had not been provided with the video recording at the time of the appeal.
CONDITION OF THE VICTIM
The girl is currently in a children's hospital.
According to her mother, the child has suffered serious physical harm and psychological trauma. She is undergoing treatment and requires medical and psychological support.

The police reported that a criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident. This is reported by the Telegram channel Qumash.
According to law enforcement authorities:
- six minors have been taken to the police station;
- two teenagers aged 16–17 (a boy and a girl) have been placed in a detention facility;
- investigative actions are underway.
THE FAMILY'S DEMANDS AND QUESTIONS FOR THE INSTITUTIONS
The victim's mother has sent official appeals to the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Presidential Administration.
She is requesting a comprehensive and objective investigation, the seizure and inclusion of the video recording of the incident in the case file, a legal assessment of the actions or inaction of the school administration and the education department, bringing those responsible to account, and officially informing the family of the progress of the investigation.
