Unknown individuals created a fake Telegram channel of the publication NEGE, in which they posted publications with accusations against the former chairman of the Ak Zhol party, Azat Peruashev. The clone almost completely copies the design of the original, including the posts and the number of subscribers.
HOW THE FAKE CHANNEL WAS DISCOVERED
According to Exclusive.kz, in the evening of 29 September 2026, NEGE's editor-in-chief Adelaida Auespekova announced the appearance of a Telegram channel imitating the editorial team's official resource.
The fake channel posted materials about Peruashev that the NEGE editorial team had not prepared and had not published. In particular, the authors of the fakes used purported screenshots of message exchanges and an audio recording with a voice that they are trying to pass off as the former MP's voice.
Auespekova also reported that roughly three days before the clone was discovered, more than 100 accounts resembling bots subscribed to the real NEGE channel. At the same time, the number of views of publications increased.
HOW THE CLONE OPERATED
The clone channel was created on 2 December, but until the end of September it published photographs of cats and incoherent English-language technical texts.
Abrupt changes began on 29 September. First, the creators installed an image resembling the avatar of the official NEGE channel, and then began posting copied publications from the real publication.
After 18:00, the authors began editing old messages, replacing them with NEGE materials, starting with publications from 1 July. Thus, the copied materials appeared in the fake channel with their original dates.
On the same day, the creators posted ten messages instead of the usual two and artificially increased the number of subscribers to a figure matching the audience of the real channel.
HOW THE PUBLICATIONS ABOUT PERUASHEV WERE SPREAD
In the fake channel, the same material about Azat Peruashev was posted four times — under the dates 21 July, 12 August, 18 and 29 September.
The publications contained accusations of violating Kazakhstan's legislation, based on purported appeals from anonymous individuals. At the same time, the authorship and reliability of the publications have not been confirmed.
In addition to being posted on Telegram, the publications were spread through private messages. In particular, a journalist from Exclusive․kz received a repost of the fake material from an unknown user whose account was registered in September 2026.
CONTEXT
The appearance of the fake channel continued a series of publications about Peruashev distributed through resources imitating Kazakh media.
Earlier, Exclusive․kz reported on three clone websites of its own publication and discovered a similar resource copying the Vlast website.
Later, Azat Peruashev announced an attack on the social media of the Ak Zhol party.
