Benches costing 333,000 tenge did not last even two years in Uralsk

In Uralsk, during the renovation of Dinara Nurpeisova Street — known as the local Arbat — benches that were installed just two years ago have been replaced. At the time, 5 million tenge was allocated from the budget for their installation: 15 benches cost 333,000 tenge each.

Cheap medicines are disappearing from pharmacies in Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, the range of affordable medicines is shrinking. According to the Association for Support and Development of Pharmaceutical Activities, a quarter of all drugs registered in the country have disappeared from pharmacy shelves in two years, and the share of cheap medicines has fallen by a third. The Ministry of Health is preparing measures to stop this process.

A court in Aktobe has delivered a verdict in the case of multi-billion tenge embezzlement at the company "Tu-Ha", which is part of the Chinese corporation CNPC. Two female employees of the enterprise — a deputy director and a chief accountant — were found guilty of embezzling and laundering 6 billion tenge.

The Ethics Council of the East Kazakhstan Region reviewed a disciplinary case against the head of the regional department of physical culture and sport, Askar Mozhanov, after a video appeared online in which he rudely addressed subordinates during an online meeting, using obscene language.
