A police officer was beaten by a crowd in Kostanay

A police officer was attacked in Kostanay after reprimanding a group of men for a breach of public order. The attackers were detained at the scene.

WHAT HAPPENED

The Kostanay Regional Police Department (RPD) reported that the officer was off duty and accompanying his young children when he reprimanded a group of men who were intoxicated.

In response, as the police clarified, the men became aggressive and used physical force against him.

POLICE RESPONSE

All those involved in the incident were identified and detained at the scene.

The Kostanay Regional Police Department reported that a criminal case has been opened regarding the attack on a representative of the authorities.
