The General Director of MIAC 'KazTAG' Aset Mataev has been released from a pre-trial detention centre and placed under house arrest. Earlier, a court had imposed a two-month arrest as a preventive measure in his case concerning hooliganism.

As reported by lawyer Rena Kerimova, the defence had been working for a considerable time to have their client transferred from the pre-trial detention facility to house arrest. Ultimately, the preventive measure was changed.

"It is painful to look at him: a huge stitched wound on his forehead, a swollen eye, half of his face black and swollen. In this condition, he is being held in quarantine along with all the newly arrived detainees," said Rena Kerimova on her Facebook page.
