In Kyrgyzstan, employees of state agencies were detained directly during a meeting with the chairman of the country’s State Committee for National Security (SCNS), Kamchybek Tashiyev. They are suspected of involvement in a corruption scheme at the ‘Chaldovar – road’ checkpoint.

The akim of Kandyagash is being tried in a case of domestic violence in the Aktobe region.

Kazbek Akkayir, the akim (mayor) of the town of Kandyagash in the Aktobe region, has appeared in court over the beating of a woman with whom he had a personal relationship. The victim is raising three children and works as a nursery school teacher.
