In Kyrgyzstan, officials from state bodies were detained directly during a meeting with the chairman of the country's State Committee for National Security (SCNS), Kamchybek Tashiev. They are suspected of participating in a corruption scheme at the "Chaldovar – Road" checkpoint.
According to the press service of the agency, officials from various structures organised the illegal import of goods from EAEU countries using fictitious accompanying documents.

Employees of the state tax service, servicemen of the border service, staff of the state inspection for veterinary and phytosanitary safety, as well as workers of the state inspection for weight and dimensional control under the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic were involved in the scheme.
According to SCNS materials, the participants in the scheme distorted the actual data on the cost and volume of goods, which allowed cargo to be transported across the border unhindered and for them to derive personal financial gain.
Speaking at the meeting, SCNS Chairman Kamchybek Tashiev emphasised that even after the Law "On Combating Corruption" came into force in January of this year, control over subordinates remains weak, and personnel work in vulnerable areas is unsatisfactory.

After the report on the situation at the "Chaldovar" checkpoint, more than 20 officials were detained by operational services.

Recall that in February of last year, during a meeting in the Shymkent Akimat led by Akim Gabyt Syzdykbekov, the acting head of the city's housing department was detained.
Anti-Corruption Service employees entered the room where the meeting was being held and stated that the agency had questions for one of the officials. With the consent of the city mayor, the anti-corruption officers led the head of the housing department out of the meeting room.
