The Financial Monitoring Agency (FMA) has warned citizens about new cases of fraud, in which criminals pose as FMA employees, lawyers or inspectors and send fake letters regarding an alleged inspection.

The family of entrepreneur Sergei Kan, a partner of Alexander Klebanov in the energy business, owns a luxurious penthouse in the Fairmont Palm Residence complex in Dubai. The property is valued at approximately 3 billion tenge (around $5.7 million). This sum is comparable to the losses incurred last year by their company, which manages energy infrastructure in the North Kazakhstan Region.

In the Aktobe school located in the Kenes Nokin residential area, there has been no heating since the beginning of October. Parents report that children are forced to sit through lessons in their jackets, and classes have been shortened to 30 minutes.

In the East Kazakhstan region, the former head of the ecology department, Mamai Butabayev, has been convicted in a bribery case involving the deputy director of a road construction company, Kanat Dyrynbayev, during the reconstruction of a section of a national highway.
