In Pavlodar, a court has passed a sentence in a case involving the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and the legalisation of criminal proceeds. Three defendants have each received 7 years of imprisonment, and the seized vehicles have been confiscated for the benefit of the state.

After the match of the 13th round of the Kazakhstan Premier League (KPL) between FC Yelimay and FC Ordabasy, a scandal erupted around the chief referee Arman Ismuratov. The head coach of Yelimay, Andrei Karpovich, accused the referee of unethical behaviour and criticised a number of decisions made during the match. Later, the club's fans and the akim of the Abai region, Berik Uali, became involved in the situation.

The court remanded Amir Kasenov into custody for repeatedly violating the terms of his house arrest.

The editor-in-chief of the KazTAG news agency, Amir Kassenov, announced the expiry of his house arrest and published a video address on social media. However, the Almaty City Court issued an official clarification stating that the preventive measure was still in effect. Later, during a court hearing, the court changed Kassenov's preventive measure to detention on remand.
