The Senate reviewed and adopted 16 laws affecting the areas of gas supply, electric power, defence, digitalisation, road traffic, telecommunications, wildlife, beekeeping, engineering and transport. The documents provide for changes in regulation and additional support measures in various sectors.

Criminal police officers have solved the theft of 7.6 million tenge in cash that occurred during a flight on the Shymkent–Astana route. Two foreign nationals have been detained on suspicion of committing the crime, and the stolen money has been returned to its owner.

In the Pavlodar region, a crime involving grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of a person, committed in 2022, has been solved. In March 2026, the court found the defendant guilty and sentenced him to eight years' imprisonment.

The Constitutional Court has ruled that paragraph 1-2 of Article 41-1 of the Communications Act, which permits the temporary restriction of communication networks and access to internet resources in certain cases, is in accordance with the Constitution. At the same time, the Court highlighted the need to clarify certain provisions of the norm and recommended that the Government consider improving the legislation.
