In the Zhambyl region, a group of individuals suspected of attempting to establish a channel for stealing gold-bearing material from the territory of a mining and processing plant has been detained. A criminal case concerning one of the episodes is being examined in court.

In Shymkent, a man who posed as an employee of the economic investigations service and received 25 million tenge from a business representative has been detained. He is suspected of deception under the pretext of helping to remove a facility from the inspection list.

The Senate of Kazakhstan has returned the bill on stray animals to the Mazhilis for revision. At the same time, the provision on the euthanasia of stray animals remains in the document — the changes relate to the procedure for its application.
