American company Cove Kaz Capital has received approximately $1.6 billion from US authorities for the development of tungsten deposits in Kazakhstan. These are the Severny Katpar and Verkhneye Kayraktinskoye sites in the central part of the country. If the project is granted additional funding, the total amount of US government support will reach $2 billion.

Following an inspection, responsibility has been placed on a local industrial enterprise — Makinsk Thermal Insulation Plant LLP. An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the company, and the materials have been sent to court.
