A court in the state of New Mexico has ordered Meta to pay more than $567 million following a lawsuit brought by state authorities, who claimed that the company's activities caused harm to children and created a public nuisance. The company said it disagrees with the court's ruling and intends to appeal.

The Almaty prosecutor's office intends to appeal the sentence handed down to Alexandra Alyokhova.
