Residents of the village of Zhana-Kiyma in the Zhaksyn district of the Akmola region have appealed to the akim of the Akmola region, Marat Akhmetzhanov, with a request to help resolve a long-standing dispute over share-held lands. According to the shareholders, the matter concerns approximately 3,000 hectares of land.

In Atyrau, a literary and musical event titled "Abai's Legacy – a National Treasure" took place, bringing together residents of the region and guests of the city in honour of the poet, thinker and educator Abai Kunanbayev.
