The National Security Committee (NSC) has confirmed that a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into Aliya Makayeva, deputy head of the migration service department of the Astana police department (DP). The agency did not disclose further details about the case, citing the requirements of legislation.

The Financial Monitoring Agency (FMA) has reported the identification of schemes involving the fictitious registration of around 140,000 citizens to medical organisations and the entry of false information about medical services provided. Employers had failed to transfer mandatory pension contributions totalling approximately 300 million tenge.
