18 May 2026, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted a regulatory resolution No. 79-NP concerning the pension provision for citizens of Kazakhstan who have left for permanent residence abroad. The Court indicated that residence outside the country, in itself, cannot serve as a basis for refusing to grant or for terminating pension payments to citizens of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Ecology has approved quotas for the culling of over 4.3 million birds. Experts describe these figures as “virtually unlimited”. FBLC has sent an official request to the department. The response contains a single figure: 145,425 registered hunters. There is no data on issued licences.

Repeat competition for 1.279 billion tenge for the training of regional volleyball teams in the Zhetysu region has been declared void. Ministry of Agriculture has announced the results of the tender for chemical treatment of agricultural land against locusts in 2026. According to the procurement results, around 95% of the value of the awarded lots, totalling more than 1.7 billion tenge, went to a single supplier — sole trader "Bagzhan". Earlier, market participants had submitted objections to the requirements of the tender documentation, but the customer left the conditions unchanged.

The duty to preserve nature is enshrined in the new Constitution of Kazakhstan.
