Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR) has decided to temporarily suspend activities for "population regulation" of saiga antelopes. The so-called "removal," or simply culling, of the steppe antelope is promised to resume in autumn.

In August 2023, a scandal erupted in Petropavlovsk involving the so-called "cube" of houses on Nazarbayev, Mukanov and Ulyanov streets. According to local residents, in the early 2000s, officials sold into private hands the courtyard area that residents had been using as a car park, a children's playground and a place for household waste.

Families are being flooded by meltwater due to sharp warming and rain. Fifteen flooded sections have been identified on the city's roads. Some cars are literally sinking in water.

In Shymkent, the court issued a ruling against a local resident who issued fake invoices without carrying out any work or providing services.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Akmola Region has identified 5 cases of internet fraud committed by an employee of the tax authority.
