443 million tenge was not paid in taxes by a resident of Shymkent

A court in Shymkent has issued a ruling against a local resident who issued fictitious invoices without carrying out any work or providing services. 

According to the press service of the Financial Monitoring Agency, the crimes were committed using 6 specially created companies. As a result, the state budget lost 443 million tenge in taxes. 

The court found the offender guilty of committing a criminal offence and sentenced him to 3 years in prison

More than 15 million tenge was returned to the state, along with the convicted person's real estate property worth more than 50 million tenge

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Birzhanov stated that at least 944,000 out of 1.4 million (67%) individual entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan keep their incomes hidden.
