Prosecutors have requested a 10-year prison sentence for public figure Perizat Kairat and an 8-year prison sentence for her mother Gani Alashbayeva on charges of fraud and large-scale money laundering.

In Atyrau, a trial has begun in the case of the embezzlement of more than 6 billion tenge during the reconstruction of the "Astrakhan – Mangyshlak" main water pipeline. Among the accused is a top manager of JSC "KazTransOil," Berik Salpek, who headed LLP "Magistralny Vodovod" from 2022 to 2024. Alongside him in the dock are four other individuals, including the deputy director of "Magistralny Vodovod," Askar Kultumiyev.
