Tokayev has called for stricter measures following an act of vandalism in Mangystau

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated the need to strengthen efforts against acts of vandalism and boorish behaviour following an incident in the Ybykty Sai tract in the Mangystau region. The head of state instructed the relevant authorities to adopt strict legal measures.

The Almaty police have warned of the danger of graduates' "motorcades".

The Court of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) allowed the enforcement of nearly $1.4 billion from Gazprom in favour of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. The court recognised the arbitration award and issued permission for its enforcement in the territory of Kazakhstan.

Over 26% of Kazakhstan's agricultural land is affected by erosion

The Government of Kazakhstan has responded to a Senate deputy inquiry regarding the condition of land and flora. According to official data, around 30 million hectares of agricultural land are affected by erosion. The Cabinet stated that existing digital monitoring systems and updated studies allow the situation to be monitored without creating a new separate structure.

A lorry with Kazakh lamb was spotted at the Chorsu market in Tashkent

On the Badam River in Shymkent, 40 metres of a concrete dam have been damaged. According to the city's akimat, the cause was illegal gravel extraction. The identities of those responsible are being established, and the structure will be restored at the expense of the contractor.

Bloggers are required to pay tax on gifts and barter in Kazakhstan

The State Revenue Committee (SRC) has recovered approximately 500 million tenge in taxes from nearly 850 bloggers for the 2022–2023 period. For tax purposes, income is recognised not only as money, but also as gifts, barter services and any property received by influencers.

The court has pronounced the sentence in the case of the drug laboratory in Shymkent.

Specialised Inter-District Criminal Court of Shymkent has passed a sentence in the case of a transnational organised group involved in the production and distribution of psychotropic substances. Eighteen individuals appeared before the court. The organiser of the laboratory received 16 years' imprisonment. The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.
